Hunting
In November last year there was an overwhelming vote in the House of Commons in support of Labour MP Mike Foster's private members bill to ban hunting with hounds. The Wild Mammals (hunting with dogs) bill may fail to become law, however because a handful of pro-hunt MP's are being allowed to thwart the will of Parliament and the people by using, amongst other things, delaying tactics (filibustering) to ensure the bill does not receive enough time to become law.
It is therefore vitally important to keep the pressure on MP's to support this bill and ensure that it becomes law. The bill remains in Parliament but as a Private Members bill, it is unlikely to pass on to the statute book unless the Government provided further time. Please write to you MP now to ask him or her to support the bill.

Stop Press!!
At the beginning of July, Mike Foster withdrew his bill giving the reason that it would be talked out and not receive the necessary time to become law.
It is now even more important to keep the pressure on the Labour Government.
