Cruelty Free Living
Issue 3: October-December 1998

Editorial

Welcome to the third issue of the newsletter. As outlined in the last issue, we hope to bring together and help inform like minded groups and individuals. The overlap between animal rights, human rights and the environment is beginning to be recognised by more and more people.

Contributions to the newsletter have increased and at the moment it looks like we will easily have 12 pages each time. Please send us articles, contact details and events for our diary. The deadline, advertising and sponsorship details appear elsewhere on this page. In order to produce the newsletter quarterly we hope to attract funds for each issue.

Advertising and sponsorship

We currently have a circulation of about 1000 copies freely available at health food stores, restaurants and read by the membership of most of the groups listed in the contacts section.

Advertising and sponsorship support are vital for the continued success and hopefully increased distribution of this newsletter. The rates are as follows:

Sponsorship (includes acknowledgement + 1/2 page feature)
£100 minimum

1/4 page advert
£50

1/8 page advert
£25

Donations are also most welcome.
Cheques can be made payable to The Cruelty Free Guide to Edinburgh and sent to the address below.

The Cruelty Free Guide to Edinburgh

Since 1995 we have produced one edition of the Cruelty Free Guide to Edinburgh every year and the modest profits have been used to launch this newsletter. The 1998-99 edition of the guide is now available and contains information about restaurants, shops, organisations, accommodation establishments and other guides which cater for the Cruelty Free consumer. It can be purchased in most good health food shops or by mail order by sending £2.50 (payable to the Cruelty Free Guide to Edinburgh) to the address below.

The planning for the next edition has already begun and anyone interested in getting involved in the research, production and distribution of the Guide should get in touch.
