Cruelty Free Living
Issue 7: April-June 2000

Editorial

Welcome to the seventh issue of the newsletter which draws on the overlap between human rights, animal rights and environmental issues and aims to facilitate communication between groups and individuals active in any or all of these areas.

So much has been and is happening in and around Edinburgh! Trident Ploughshares 2000, the battle to repeal Section 28, the A701 debacle, GM conference, vivisection at Quintiles, the Royal Bank of Scotland judgement on Huntingdon Life Sciences, the Protection of Wild Mammals Bill - all these campaigns thrive and will succeed on the efforts and support of ordinary people. So if you have a bit of time to spare, get in touch with a local group campaigning on something close to your heart and get involved!

Although production of the printed newsletter is going on hold until Autumn 2000 at the earliest, we will be keeping our website up to date with contact information for local groups and other news items, so please continue to send in your feedback, articles, campaign news and contact updates.
